Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
One of the most common plastic surgery procedures is the tummy tuck. This is a procedure where the excess abdominal fat and skin is directly excised. Once the excess fat and skin are removed, we tighten up your loose abdominal wall musculature and redrape the the remaining tissue for an enhanced abdominal wall shape and contour. This procedure is ideal when patients are poor liposuction candidates or their abdominal muscles are weak and separated, as often happens after childbirth. This procedure rejuvenates the abdominal wall and gives it a more youthful shape.

Lipoabdominoplasty (Liposuction + Abdominoplasty)
A variation of the tummy tuck procedure, lipoabdominoplasty combines both a traditional tummy tuck with liposuction. What we often find in our tummy tuck patients is a very thick and fatty abdominal wall subcutaneous tissue. If this tissue were redraped after the redundant tissue were removed, the final result is still less than ideal. When we combine liposuction to the traditional abdominoplasty procedure, we can thin out the abdominal wall skin flaps prior to redraping so that you have a much better defined figure. The results of lipoabdominoplasty compared to traditional abdominoplasty is akin to wearing a thin skimply dress that accentuates your figure rather a thick fur coat.

Mini-Tummy Tuck
The mini-tummy tuck was designed for women who have isolated areas skin laxity in their lower abdomen. We are able to remove the redundant skin using much smaller incisions and tighten up their abdominal wall muscles if necessary. This is a great option for women who do not need a full tummy tuck.

Body Lift
Patients who have lost a lot of weight and have a lot of loose skin often require a body lift. Their skin has lost a lot of their elasticity after having been stretched out for a prolonged period of time. Once the excess weight is lost, the skin becomes like a oversized set of clothes that no longer fit. A body lift can remove the redundant skin and tighten it to fit your new body. Depending on how much skin and soft tissue need to be removed, these procedures could be done in either a single stage or multiple stages.

Arm Lift
Excess tissue under the arms is unattractive, especially when wearing short sleeve shirts or tank tops. When taken to the extreme, this excess tissue looks like bat-wings. While liposuction can often remove the excess fatty tissue and tighten the collagen and overlying skin, too much arm skin laxity may require direct excision of the skin and underlying soft tissue. It will re-contour your arms to give them a more youthful shape. The drawback to this procedure is that the single longitudinal scar that is required to remove the excess tissue is not very attractive and are the least attractive scars in the body after complete healing. However, these scars can be hidden on the inside of your arm or behind your arm, depending on your preference.

Thigh Lift
Similar to an arm lift, the excess tissue in your thigh can directly excised if it is not amenable to liposuction. Various techniques are available, depending on the amount and location of the excess tissue. Since each person’s body habitus is different, schedule a consultation to see what procedure is best suited for you.
